Java Training
I Had a very busy day at so I could only study for 6 pomodoros (2:30) but I made some progress in understanding how form validation works with JavaFX.
This is one of those subjects that every developer has to deal with. Since when I first started fiddling with JavaScript I was already playing around with forms and I don’t think it will ever go away.
Tomorrow I might start working on my budget app so I can learn more advanced functionalities such as magic a login system and more complicated queries to the database
Podcast and book
Today’s podcast was with Michael Gervais, psychology specialised in sports. So much great advice. Some bullet points:
- You don’t need motivation techniques if you do what makes you tick
- Meditation won’t necessarily teach you to avoid thinking, but it will teach how to come back from thinking to focus
- Paying true attention on personal interactions
- Success: Having a sense of peace while being useful to your community.
- To search for authenticity, moving as deep as you can to places that are uncomfortable.
