Defeated by Snickers

Hey folks! Again a busy day at work and didn’t have a lot of time to code. Still trying to catch up on my sleep I had a 2 hour nap during the day but unfortunately only 3 hours last night. The good news is the after 3 days absent I went to the gym again for a back workout. I was starving at night before gym and ended up succumbing to the temptation of buying two double snicker bars. But other than that I ate pretty healthy.

I did spend some time commuting, where I finished watching the video I was working with in the last couple of days and watched a couple of others. The first was about common mistakes new programmers make. It’s super fun and I highly recommend this guy Jarvis Johnson. It made me feel good because I share his views and already had his tips somewhat ingrained in my programmer mindset.

Then I started watching this amazing tutorial about how to make a to-do-list app using javascript. It’s exactly the type of thing I want to learn, with all the interactions between css, html and javascript. I’ll definitely dive into it after I finish my current project.

Programming wise I had 40 minutes only, at the end of the day. I’m not proud of the small amount of time I managed to block for coding, but was proud that I pushed through and worked on my learning for 4 consecutive days now. Consistency is key.

Right now I’ll focus on finishing the website I started about a month ago. I offered to do it for free for a small accounting firm back in Brazil thinking it would be a great exercise to put together a simple business website without the responsibilities of an online store. So that’s what I’ll be doing in the next 3 hours. 🙂
